Between burning the midnight oil getting images and artwork delivered and lovin hard on these two (fall craziness is always hard on these lover boys who miss their mama!), I have been too busy to touch social media!
Some days and weeks you just have to choose right? My house needs a good cleaning and I haven’t blogged in forever, but having time for “mama snuggles” ( when my boys say it I am powerless to refuse) is a huge priority, just like getting all of you your gifts and artwork in time for Christmas.
That’s one of the best parts of running my own business. I can say no to bookings when I need to, and the clients I do work with are always the sweetest, most appreciative, and wonderful couples and families.
If you have kiddos and you are local, come downtown tomorrow and have me photograph you and your kiddos getting some “Santa snuggles” for free! Mrs. Claus will be there too, which has my two super excited!

I’m normally not one for pavement. Actually I joke about how mean I am, making my clients trek through tall grass, or climb rocks, or anything else to infuse the beauty of nature into their session. But what the yummy, golden light wants, the golden light gets! ✨

I sure do love Christmas time, but engagement season may be even more fun! I’m so excited to chat with each new bride or groom to be. It’s such a joyful time and hearing about their story and plans feels like a gift! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Senior session booking is in full swing! I only have a limited number of weekend spots available this spring since weddings have already filled many Saturdays, so I’d recommend booking early to have your preferred date. Let’s chat!

Reflecting on my reasons to be thankful has my heart ready to burst! At the top of my list: my little family, our health, and our livelihood, which means each and every one of you! I hope you all enjoy a wonderful holiday full of delicious food and abundant gratitude. Happy Thanksgiving!

Yesterday I had my last adventurous engagement session of the year, and I am so happy that we got to capture this special time in one of my favorite places. I have known Abby for years now, and met Kyle while they were dating in high school. Getting the chance to capture their love story is so special! I seriously can’t wait for 2020 and all the wonderful weddings heading my way!

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of bringing my clients out of that *photos are awkward and what do I do with my hands* place and showing them how beautiful they are!
About 5 minutes before this image was taken we almost called it a night. I knew they’d killed it and honestly couldn’t imagine topping what we’d already captured. Then I spotted an angle, that light, and convinced Maria and Anthony to trek through the weeds to reach it. Needless to say, their gallery was way bigger than it needed to be! (Like way way bigger... sorry not sorry! 😘)
